CFI Story

The story of CFI began in 2009 when God called a couple originally from Burkina Faso into full-time ministry to reach people of all cultural backgrounds living in Omaha, Nebraska, with the Gospel (Acts 2:14). Responding to the call, Pastor Wenetoin Patrice and Linda started a Bible study in their basement every Saturday. By God's grace, both believers and unbelievers were faithfully drawn to these gatherings. Meanwhile, Pastor Wenetoin Patrice and Linda Kabore began working with the Nebraska district of the Assembly of God and the General Council of the Assembly of God in Burkina Faso to establish a church called “Crossroads Fellowship International.” The church was officially incorporated on December 30th, 2010, with the listed individuals serving as the board of directors: Pastor Wenetoin Patrice Kabore, Pastor Dwight Sandoz, and Pastor Jay Newland. Prior to that, the church held its first Sunday service on October 3rd, 2010. Since then, the church has grown to include 14 nationalities and 30 languages, and the love and power of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have sustained it. Crossroads Fellowship International became a General Council on June 6th, 2014.
